Miessence Certified Organic Beauty Products: Introducing the Amazing Ambrosia Essence with 9 Anti-Aging Oils
I became obsessed with anti-aging when I was in my 20s. Haven’t you heard? The 40s are the new 30s!! I also work in a field surrounded by 17 to 25 year olds so would like to stay wrinkle-free as long as possible. However, I didn’t always use certified organic beauty products.
Let me ask you a question. When was the last time you went shopping for anti-aging products?
The beauty industry is saturated with anti-aging products. Beauty companies love to use terms like ‘clinically-tested’ and ‘dermatologist tested’ to sell their products.
How many of you have ever seen their so called studies to prove their claims? Have you noticed many of the studies (if you get a chance to see the actual results) are only done over a 4 to 8 week period on 20 to 50 people? Being a scientist, that is a small sample size over a short period of time.
The questions you need to be asking yourself are DO THESE PRODUCTS/INGREDIENTS ACTUALLY WORK? IS THERE ENOUGH OF THE INGREDIENT IN THE PRODUCT TO ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Sadly, there are so many gimmicks out there. Anti-aging products also contain ingredients that ARE NOT going to help you reduce your wrinkles. For example, collagen found in anti-aging products cannot fuse with the collagen in your skin. The molecular sizes of the collagen in these anti-aging products are too large to penetrate the skin’s surface.
Anti-aging products are also more expensive. How much are you willing to spend to turn back time?
A few other questions to consider the next time you are in the market for anti-aging beauty products.
Are the ingredients pure? Are they natural or synthetic? Are they safe for you to use? Are they organic or do they contain chemicals?
Miessence Certified Organic Beauty Products
I was tired of being duped by these beauty companies and buying products that contained chemicals and synthetic ingredients. Most of the ingredients weren’t even pure or safe for me to use. Many of the products only contained 1 to 2% of these ‘miracle’ anti-aging ingredients. Some of them cost a small fortune!!
This is how I found Miessence. I started searching online for certified organic beauty products that were certified organic by the ACO and USDA, pure, plant-based, safe, contained ingredients I could actually pronounce and recognize, and didn’t cost hundreds of dollars.
Why Certified Organic by the ACO and USDA?
Discover 5 Benefits of Using ACO & USDA Organic Standards Certification Products
One of my favorite Miessence products that I have been using for anti-aging is called Ambrosia Essence.
This amazing certified organic beauty product contains 9 anti-aging plant-based essential oils and extracts. These are Mother Nature’s most powerful anti-aging weapons that are naturally free of harmful ingredients.
Why Essential Oils/Plant Extracts?
The use of plant extracts and essential oils have been used for centuries. Many are used in anti-aging products. Some essential oils and plant extracts have the ability to scavenge free radicals, protect the skin matrix through the inhibition of enzymatic degradation or promote collagen synthesis in the skin. Some plants have shown to improve skin elasticity and tightness.
Let me ask you this question again. When was the last time you went shopping for anti-aging products?
It is a little overwhelming! Unfortunately, we cannot stop the aging process. We all want to turn back time. However, there are a lot of extrinsic factors, such as sun damage, toxic products and dry skin, which significantly speed up the process of aging.
Your skin is the first thing people notice, besides your hair, smile/teeth and overall appearance. It is the largest external organ of your body, so you must take care of it. As you age, your skin begins to sag, wrinkle and develop age spots. Stress can also have an impact on premature aging.
So why use certified organic anti-aging products that contain these essential oils and plant extracts?
First of all, they do not contain any synthetic ingredients, chemicals, pesticides, silicones, endocrine disruptors, hormone mimickers, GMOs and other harmful ingredients. Second, you can pronounce the ingredients on the product label and know these ingredients are safe to use.
Third, believe it or not, most certified organic beauty products are LESS EXPENSIVE. No, that is not a typo! You are paying for pure plant-based products vs. products filled with water, synthetic ingredients and chemicals that your skin cannot identify or utilize. All of these essential oils and plant extracts feed, nourish and benefit your skin! This means these certified organic beauty products last longer (need very little each application). My last bottle of Miessence Ambrosia Essence lasted me 6 months!!!
Natural vs. Organic vs. Synthetic

This oil has been used for centuries as a remarkable skin regenerator. C. inophyllum contains a lot of biological active phytochemical compounds to combat a whole range of skin issues. It is highly beneficial as an antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Tamanu oil has hydrating and soothing effects on the skin. It relieves irritations such as sun burn, inflammation, rashes and helps generate skin cells. It is useful for the treatment of eczema, rheumatism and helps heal cuts and wounds.
Tamanu oil has a unique lipid composition. It contains 3 essential classes of lipids: neutral, glycolipids and phospholipids. Studies have also shown that this amazing oil contains canophyllic acid, xanthones, coumarins and other phytochemical agents contributing to its remarkable healing power.
Tamanu nut oil benefits your skin like no other oil. It protects your skin against UV-induced DNA damage and oxidative stress by providing a biological UV filter. This oil stimulates the growth of new healthy tissues. It is this healing and regenerative power that makes tamanu oil an amazing anti-aging oil.
Certified Organic Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa rubiginosa)
Rosehip oil is pressed from the seeds of wild rose bushes grown in Chile. Rosehip oil is often regarded as the ‘Oil of Youth.’ In the 1980s, scientific studies discovered the healing properties of rosehip oil. Evidence suggested that the oil was able to effectively reduce the appearance of scars when applied to the affected areas twice a day. Rosehip oil works to accelerate skin regeneration and to reduce the appearance of minor skin conditions such as age spots and enlarged pores. It effectively soothes skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis. It also restores elasticity to the skin and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and stretch marks. This ‘Oil of Youth’ hydrates the skin by creating a protective barrier.
Rosehip oil is beneficial for all skin types due to its main chemical constituents: linoleic acid, linolenic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid. It is a natural source of antioxidants and contains high amounts of polyphenols, vitamins C, E, B and carotenoids. This amazing oil has potential as a treatment for several diseases including skin disorders, inflammatory disorders, arthritis, diabetes and cancer. The therapeutic potential, including anti-aging, is based on its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects associated with its phytochemical composition.
Certified Organic Helichrysum Flower Oil (Helichrysum italicum)
Helichrysum oil is extracted from the fresh or dried flowers of this beautiful plant. It is sometimes called ‘immortelle’ or the fountain of youth due to its phytochemical constituents. This oil still plays an important role in traditional medicine in the Mediterranean countries to treat conditions such as acne, skin inflammation, wound healing and infections.
The name ‘helichrysum’ comes from the Greek word ‘helisso,’ meaning, ‘to turn around,’ and the word ‘chrysos,’ which means ‘gold.’ In fact, in historical times, the flowers of the plant were dried and offered to the Greek Gods.
Studies show helichrysum oil has the ability to lower inflammation due to its inflammatory enzyme inhibition, free radical scavenging activity and corticoid-like effects. A review done by the Health Sciences Research Centre at the University of Beira in Portugal found that helichrysum’s flavonoids and terpene compounds were effective against bacteria and fungus growth that can cause various skin irritations, including rashes, infections and delayed wound healing. Some of the many benefits of helichrysum oil are: sunburn relief and skin cancer protector; acne treatment; antifungal properties; anti-inflammatory; liver stimulator and detoxifier; and antiviral due to the presence of flavonoids and phloroglucinols.
Certified Organic Neroli Flower Oil (Citrus aurantium ssp. arama)
The interesting thing about the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium) is that it actually produces three distinctly different essential oils. The peel of the nearly ripe fruit yields bitter orange oil. The leaves are the source of petitgrain essential oil. The small, white, waxy flower are the source of neroli essential oil. It takes 1000 kgs of orange blossoms to make 1 kg of neroli oil. A large bitter orange tree can produce up to ~ 27 kg of fresh flowers.
Some of the major phytochemical components of neroli oil include linalool, linalyl acetate, nerolidol, E-farnesol, a-terpineol and limonene. Neroli has been shown to lower inflammation. A study in the Journal of Natural Medicines suggest that neroli possesses biologically active constituents that have the ability to reduce inflammation. Another study published in the Pakistan Journal of Biological Sciences showed neroli oil exhibited antimicrobial and antioxidant activities.
Neroli is known for its ability to regenerate skin cells and improve the elasticity of skin. This amazing oil has the ability to revive skin at the cellular level making it a must have for wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. It can also be used to treat bacterial skin conditions and rashes due to its antimicrobial properties.
Certified Organic Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin)
Patchouli comes from the same family (Lamiaceae) that includes lavender, mint and sage. The essential oil is extracted from the leaves by steam distillation. The oil has been used for centuries in perfumes and fragrances. Traditionally it was used to treat health issues such as headaches, colds, nausea and abdominal pain. The phytochemical components of patchouli oil include sesquiterpenoids, alkaloids, and flavonoids which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
P. cablin has been used traditionally in Chinese medicine for skin care and appearance. In 2014, a study showed the protective effects of patchouli oil against ultraviolet (UV) induced skin photoaging. This is due to its antioxidant characteristics and sesquiterpene constituents. Another study done in 2017 investigated the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of the leaves of P. cablin extracts.
Patchouli oil is often used in anti-aging skin care because it has the ability to alleviate skin issues such as eczema, inflammation, acne, and reduce the look of scars or marks on the skin. It also helps prevent infections due to its antiseptic nature, and strengthens the hair and skin by regenerating new skin cells, stimulating muscle contractions, and helping prevent hair loss or sagging skin.
Certified Organic Calendula CO2 Flower Extract (Calendula officinalis)
Calendula has been used for centuries for ornamental, culinary, cosmetic and medicinal purposes. You may recognize the plant since it is in the same species as marigolds. Calendula has been known to help a variety of health issues and is a powerful antioxidant and antiviral. Triterpene alcohols, triterpene saponins, flavonoids, carotenoids and polysaccharides constitute major classes of phytoconstituents of the genus.
Some of the amazing health benefits of Calendula are: anti-inflammatory; heals wounds; antimicrobial & antiviral; astringent and discourages cancer. This plant is often used in anti-aging beauty products due to its powerful flavonoids. These plant-based antioxidants protect cells from free radical damage. It also contains pro-inflammatory compounds such as cytokines. Linoleic acid, another anti-inflammatory, is also found in high concentrations in Calendula.
Studies have shown that plant-based topical treatments containing Calendula have sped up recovery rate and healing of wounds. Calendula is also used to improve skin firmness and hydration. It helps increase blood flow and oxygen to wounds and infected areas. This helps the body grow new tissue and heal more rapidly. The acids found within the oils of this plant have powerful antimicrobial and antiviral effects. These oils and acids have been shown to be effective in fighting pathogens and strains of bacteria. Calendula is often used in antiseptic topical products.
Certified Organic Carrot CO2 Seed Extract (Daucus carota)
Carrot seed oil is extracted from the carrot plant (Daucus carota). It contains many important phytochemical compounds such as flavonoids, luteolin and antioxidants. This oil is used in skin care products as a skin-protecting agent.
There has been extensive research conducted on carrot seed oil’s ability to kill certain bacteria and fungi. The bacteria and fungi most affected by carrot seed oil are: dermatophytes, E. coli, Salmonella, Candida, Acinetobacter and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia.
A study was conducted to investigate natural products containing herbal ingredients and their effectiveness as an SPF. Researchers found a product, including carrot seed oil, turned out to have an SPF of 40.
Certified Organic Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia chinensis)

This amazing oil contains many beneficial ingredients including vitamin E, vitamin B complex, silicon, chromium, copper and zinc. It contains a high percentage of iodine, which helps fight harmful bacteria. The antioxidants present in jojoba oil soothe fine lines, wrinkles and slows down other signs of aging.
As we age, our sebaceous glands produce less sebum, which causes are skin and hair to become drier. Jojoba oil plays the role of sebum since the texture and use is very similar to sebum. It moisturizes your skin and hair. The oil also keeps your skin oil levels balanced. This makes jojoba oil a great treatment for eczema and acne.
Studies have shown that jojoba oil speeds up the wound healing process and stimulates collagen synthesis. A study conducted in 2012 examined jojoba oil’s ability to reduce skin lesions and improve overall skin condition.
Certified Organic Rosemary Leaf CO2 Extract (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Rosemary is a great choice for skincare and hair health. Rosmarinus officinalis was used in ancient times by the Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks and Romans for many purposes including mental clarity, muscle pain relief and digestive soothing. Rosemary belongs to the Lamiaceae family and has needle-like leaves. The oil/extract contains many phytochemical components such as α-pinene, borneol, β-pinene, camphor, bornyl acetate, camphene, 1, 8-cineole and limonene. This gives the plant oil/extract its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, analgesic and expectorant properties.
